Dianna Sinovic

Mystery, Horror, & Speculative Fiction Writer & Coach

I serve new writers of paranormal, horror, speculative fiction, and memoir because these genres can help us see the world/our lives through a special lens, throwing light on universal problems via unconventional approaches to storytelling. I help writers tell their stories—whether deeply imagined or based on their own truths (especially for memoir)—with compassion and guiding strategies, so that their voices can work to change the world for the better, one by one.

Where stories and story ideas are nurtured and guided

You’re halfway through your manuscript and you’re stuck.

Your first draft is done–all 100,000 words. Hurray! But now what?

You have a great idea for a book, but no matter how many times you try, you can’t seem to get beyond the first chapter.

Author

Who I am

I am an author of speculative fiction, horror, and mystery. My short stories have been published in a number of anthologies and in the Bethlehem Writers Roundtable, a quarterly online magazine of short stories and poems.

I also write monthly short fiction on Quill & Moss, part of the blog site A Slice of Orange.

My Hive

My Writing Community

I’m a member of the national groups Sisters in Crime, the Horror Writers Association, and the Editorial Freelancers Association. In addition, I belong to the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group, where I am the current anthology chair, and the Bethlehem Writers Group, where I am on the executive committee. I’m also in a small group of writers who call themselves the Hive; we write horror together.

About Dianna Sinovic

Writing and Music are my Passions

I was born and raised in Missouri, but I’ve also lived in California, Georgia, Kansas, and New York. Mapping it, I guess that’s taken me from sea to shining sea, as well as in and out of the heartland.

I have lived in suburbs, cities and small towns. Currently, I live in rural southeastern Pennsylvania on three acres of woods.

I can’t live without writing, and I can’t live without music. I have at various times studied the piano, the flute, the electric guitar, and the Celtic harp.
